Seaweed gomasio is a flavorful seasoning mix made with mineral-rich edible seaweed, blended with sesame oil, garlic, and umami-packed seasonings. Perfect for enhancing your meals with a healthy twist and a touch of the sea.
200g of seaweed (gomasio)
2 tablespoons sesame oil
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)
Salt & pepper to taste
Rehydrate the seaweed in cold water for 10–15 minutes. Drain and rinse under cold water.
Sauté the garlic in sesame oil over medium heat until golden and fragrant.
Add the rehydrated seaweed and stir-fry for about 5 minutes until tender.
Pour in the soy sauce and rice vinegar, mixing well to coat the seaweed. Season with salt and pepper.
Continue cooking for another few minutes until the flavors are well absorbed.
Serve warm, optionally topped with toasted sesame seeds for extra crunch.
